Working air monitoring laboratory

It is a laboratory that is mainly equipped with devices for monitoring, sampling of nanoparticles and microparticles in the work environment.

List of devices

NanoScan SMPS 3910

A portable instrument suitable for measuring the numerical concentration of nanoparticles. The range of the instrument is 10 nm to 380 nm. It can measure up to one million particles. The SMPS instrument is suitable when nanoparticles need to be measured, e.g. when monitoring workplace exposure, point source identification, etc.

Optical Spectrometer Model 3330

The optical spectrometer (OPS) allows fast and accurate measurement of parricle concentration and particle size distribution. The OPS measures particles in the range from 0,3 to 10 μm in 16 user adjustable channels. The measured particles can also be collected on a built-in fi lter for further analysis.

Particle Counter CPC 3007 and P-Trak™ 8525

Portable condensation particle counter (CPC) is designed to measure particle concentrations (of size 0,01 - 1 μm). The handheld counter can be used to assess concentrations or emissions in buildings or areas, such as schools, hospitals and other indoor spaces. For normal operations for the detection and determination of the number of ultrafine particles (of size 0,02 - 1 μm) in the working environment, it is more appropriate to use P-Trak, which has a larger concentration range.

Multi-channel Laser Photometer Dust Trak DRX 8533

DustTrak DRX is a multi-channel laser photometer, that provides real-time aerosol mass readings and collects a gravimetric sample. DustTrak DRX measures aerosol contaminants, such as dust, smoke, fumes and mists. It is suitable for clean office spaces, industrial workplaces, construction and other outdoor locations.

Multi-channel Laser Photometer Dust Trak DRX 8534

DustTrak DRX is a multi-channel laser photometer, that provides real-time aerosol mass readings and collects a gravimetric sample. DustTrak DRX measures aerosol contaminants, such as dust, smoke, fumes and mists. It is suitable for clean office spaces, industrial workplaces, construction and other outdoor locations.

AeroTrak 9000

Nanoparticle aerosol monitor AeroTrak™ 9000 TSI is used to monitor the concentration of particles in the environment. The device indicates the surface area of nanoparticle aerosols which are deposited in lungs and air passages of the respiratory tract. Deposition in the alveolar (A) and tracheobronchial (TB) part of the lung regions corresponds to the deposition criteria according to the ICRP model (Human Respiratory Tract Model for Radiological Protection).

Personal Sampling Equipment

The sampling equipment enables the collection of the inhalable and respirable fraction of dust aerosol according to ČSN EN 481. The sampling of aerosol is performed on filter or polyurethane foam disks. The sampling equipment includes a sampling head (including fi lters and cassette for determination of respirable fraction), personal sampling pump, connecting tubing.

PortaCount Pro+ Respirator Fit Tester

Respiratory protection tester with fit testing (Model 8038-1) for all types of respirators - gas masks, SCBAs, respirators, even N95, P1 and P2 disposable respirators (filtering facepiece). Using the instrument, the fastest, easiest and best HSE (UK) and OSHA (US) - compliant fit test method can be provided.

Nanometer Aerosol Sampler

The nanometer aerosol sampler model 3089 (NAS) consists of grounded cylindrical sampling chamber with an electrode at its bottom where a potential up to 10 000 V can be set. The sampler operates at a constant fl ow and voltage, the sampling substrate is collected on a TEM grid attached to the electrode. The instrument is only used to collect particles for further analysis.
