Gas chromatography laboratory

The gas chromatography laboratory is mainly used for the analysis of gases, liquids and partly also solids. The basis of the equipment is a gas chromatograph with a GRIFFIN 460 mass spectrometer from the American company FLIR with accessories extending its usability. The laboratory also has a Raman spectrometer FirstDefender RMX and photoionization detectors for the determination of volatile substances in the air from the company RAE Systems.

List of devices

Chromatograf GRIFFIN 460

Mobile GC-MS with the possibility of MS-MS analysis with Purge & trap s, PSI Probe with Twister and the possibility of sampling in the fi eld using X-Sorber. Built-in two preconcentration tubes with Tenax TA and Carboxen fi lling enabling continuous air analysis. LTM-GC column DB-5MS (15 m x 0,18 mm x 0,18 μm) standard. Carrier gas He. CIT mass spectrometer with MS-MS tandem option.

Raman Spectrometer FirstDefender RMX

Handheld 785 nm Raman spectrometer designed especially for use by firefighters, security forces, the military, police and forensic chemists. The RMX version is equipped with a durable probe with an armored optical cable. The instrument is in a durable design suitable for fi eld measurements.

Thermal Imaging Camera FLIR T640

Handheld thermal imaging camera enabling the capture of thermographic images and radiometric video in the range -40 °C to + 2000 °C in three subranges. Resolution 640 x 480 pixels, sensitivity 0,04 °C at 30 °C. Interchangeable lenses (standard 25°, wide-angle 45° and telephoto lens 15°).
