On Wednesday, 14 January 2026, another edition of the traditional professional Round Table meeting took place. This format has been held in its current form approximately once a year since 2012/2013. The meeting has long focused on the open exchange of practical experience – sharing good examples, effective solutions, as well as topics and challenges that have proven difficult to advance in the field of occupational safety.
This year’s meeting focused on new technologies for increasing employee engagement in safety. The event was organised by the Academy of Safety Engineering FBI in cooperation with Chart Ferox, which also hosted the full-day programme.
Sharing practice and a look into operations
The meeting brought together a group of 11 safety and HSE professionals, creating space for open discussion, networking, and mutual learning. The programme also included a guided tour of the production facilities lasting more than two hours.
Seeing real progress and solutions to problems that were once described as “impossible” was a great source of inspiration. A clear reminder that when there is willingness, nothing is impossible.
A meaningful meeting of practitioners
The main objectives of the meeting were:
- the exchange of experience and good practice,
- sharing less successful solutions as well,
- the opportunity to gain insight into a different operational environment,
- strengthening professional relationships and networking,
- mutual learning among practitioners.
Sincere thanks go to the organisers and all participants who attended despite challenging weather conditions. The meeting once again confirmed that open discussion and the sharing of concrete experience play an irreplaceable role in the field of occupational safety.
