Over the past weeks, we took part in a series of 7 expert exchange sessions focused on sharing experience, operational practice and experimental research results related to hydrogen mobility safety.
Together with professional and volunteer firefighters from Ostrava and Hlučín, we discussed:
- current trends in hydrogen mobility in the Czech Republic and Europe
- planned hydrogen projects in the City of Ostrava
- key specifics of hydrogen-powered vehicles
- identification of hydrogen vehicles during emergency response
- crucial results from hydrogen vehicle fire experiments, including jet-fire behaviour
The programme also included a live demonstration of Toyota Mirai (1st & 2nd generation) hydrogen vehicles.
Thanks to our colleagues from the Fire and Rescue Service for the open cooperation and valuable exchange of practical experience. These meetings clearly confirmed how important it is to connect research with real-life emergency response practice.
