NEBOSH offers a wide range of internationally recognised qualifications designed for different target groups. The individual qualification types differ not only in their focus and content, but also in scope, the amount of taught and self-study time required, level of professional complexity, and method of final assessment.
Types of NEBOSH qualifications
- AWARDS – short, practically oriented qualifications focused on specific areas of occupational health and safety. They require significantly less study time than Certificate or Diploma qualifications.
- CERTIFICATES – more comprehensive professional qualifications combining taught learning and independent study. They require substantially more preparation time and a deeper understanding of the subject matter.
- DIPLOMAS – advanced and time-intensive professional qualifications intended primarily for professionals working in occupational health and safety at an expert level.
- MASTERS – Master’s-level study programmes delivered in collaboration with the University of Hull.
More information about the individual NEBOSH qualifications is available on the NEBOSH website: Qualifications – NEBOSH.
